1939 Gibson SJ-100
1939 Gibson SJ-100 in great condition. Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, maple neck, bound ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge. First year for the SJ-100, rare stairstep peghead shape which only lasted until 1940. Fewer than 200 of these were made and the model was discontinued in 1943 for the next 40+ years. 17" wide, 1 11/16" nut, neck profile is 0.87" at the 1st fret, 1.17" at the 12th fret action is 3/32" at the 12th fret. Guitar is all original except for a refret and a replaced custom truss rod cover which is of the period. One long repaired side crack on the bass side. Weight is 5.26lb. Comes with original hardshell case.
