1940 Martin D-28
1940 Martin D-28 in fantastic cosmetic condition. All original with very minimal play wear and lots of life left in the original frets, this by far one of the cleanest pre-war Martins we’ve ever seen. The bridge has been shaved previously to improve playability and the guitar would likely benefit from having the neck reset, which is to be expected from a guitar of this vintage. In the interest of maintaining absolute originality on this guitar we’ve decided not to reset the neck at this time, pending buyer wishes. 1 11/16” nut width, 2 1/4” string spacing, and rear shifted scalloped bracing. Guitar comes in its original hardcase and includes photos of the original owner and her Western Swing band to complete the package. Additionally, this guitar was a part of the Scott Chinery collection and was featured in the Chinery book. Please call or e-mail for information.
