1941 Gibson J-35
1941 Gibson J-35 in excellent condition FON 4265G-23. Two tone bar scalloped brace version. Round neck profile with 1.72" width and 2 3/8" string spacing. Recent refret in our shop with vintage size wire. Great neck angle with full height original bridge and original saddle. One piece mahogany back. Only crack is the b string pickguard crack. Original tuners with replaced plastic buttons. There is typical checking in the finish and some wear on back of the neck and below pickguard. This a wonderfully solid guitar from our favorite period for J-35s. Essentially this is where Gibson landed on the jumbo models after years of experimenting with X brace angle and style of bracing. It has the crisp dry tone that is umimidatebale in new guitars. The neck profile and fresh frets make it a fine player in any position. A fine instrument for the player or collector. Includes high quality new case.
