1914 Gibson F-4
1914 Gibson F-4 in excellent condition with very few signs of wear for a mandolin of its age. This mandolin is all original with the only alterations being replacement tuners, the originals are included in the case. The only major repairs on this mandolin being a sealed top crack on the treble side lower bout and a sealed seam split on the back of the headstock by the treble side tuners which is very common for mandolins from this period. This mandolin has the rare optional Orange finished spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge. This mandolin has a scale length of 14", fingerboard width at the nut of 1 1/4", thickness at the first fret of .91", thickness at the six fret of 1.09", and weighs 2.10 lbs exactly. This mandolin comes with the original hardshell case as well as a newer hardshell case.
