Regular price $16,999

Fully restored 1931 Gibson L-2 in excellent condition. When we purchased this guitar it needed a lot of work and had a lot of work done by previous generations of players and repairmen that needed to be addressed. Tom got to work bringing this guitar back to life and this 1931 L-2 emerged as one of the best sounding 13 fret L-2s we've ever had. The extensive restoration work included a full conversion to fixed bridge and removal of original tailpiece, repairing several cracks throughout the guitar as well as removing the previously installed cleats which were deemed unnecessary, rebinding and refinishing the back, re-bracing the guitar to the original style, repairing several side cracks, re-finishing the neck, resetting the neck, and a re-fret. As with all of the work performed in our shop, these repairs were done to the highest standard and with appropriately preserving the instrument as the highest priority. This guitar is constructed with beautiful Brazilian rosewood back and sides, a spruce top, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Nut width is 1.77", neck profile is 0.94" at the 1st fret, 1.05" at the 10th fret. This guitar comes in a hardshell case.
