1931 Kel Kroydon KK-2 Birds of Paradise
1931 Gibson made Kel Kroydon KK-2 Birds of Paradise in excellent condition. The secret is out on the exceptional coolness of the Kel Kroydon guitars made by Gibson from 1929-1931. The recreations by Waterloo and Jeff Tweedy playing these all over the place has created a whole new level of interest for these great guitars. This one came to us farm fresh needing the usual stuff. The neck was reset and two old repaired back cracks cleaned up a bit. It has a nice straight neck with original frets with little wear. The neck is a medium size for one of these. Some of them are very thin and have trouble remaining straight. This one feel great and is dead straight. There is some pick wear on the top but the birds are fully intact and overall presents very clean. The sound is responsive and full. The light build is what makes these so special and this one is no exception. Includes new hard case.
