1934 Gibson L-00 3/4
1938 Gibson L-00 3/4 in excellent condition. These were made along side the L-00 and advertised for "children and ladies who need a smaller guitar." The body shape is similar to the earliest Gibson L style guitars. The lower bout is 12 3/4" wide and the scale is 22 3/4". The construction is pretty much the same as an L-00 but shrunk down. This one is in very clean condition with the original finish in great shape. There are two repaired top cracks two repaired back cracks, all neatly and professionally done. The neck has been reset and there is replaced rosewood bridge plate. These sold for the same price as a full size L-00, $27.50. They are very scarce and even more so in this condition only 35 ever made. Most things designed for children do not survive 82 years in this condition! It sounds like you would expect a small L-00 to. Includes newer hard case.
