1937 Martin D-28
1937 Martin D-28 in excellent condition. This D-28 was constructed with an Adirondack spruce top, herringbone purfling, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and features the forward X-bracing typical of the period. Repair history includes a professional neck reset, two small repaired top cracks, a reproduction bridge, and a re-fret. All work was expertly performed. The neck measures 1 3/4" at the nut, has a depth of 0.88” at the first fret, and a depth of 1.08” at the tenth fret. The guitar has a 25.4” scale and weighs 4.46 lbs. An extremely fine sounding example of a golden era Martin in unbelievable condition. Comes with both the original hardshell case as well as a more modern Martin hardshell case.
