1942 Gibson L-00

1942 Gibson L-00 in very good condition. This Gibson has some light playwear, replaced tuners, a new bone saddle, the bridge has been thinned slightly, and the neck has been reset. This L-00 was constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and a Brazilian rosewood bridge.  The “C” shaped neck has a width of 1 11/16” at the nut, a depth of 1.00” at the first fret, and a depth of 1.07” at the tenth fret. The guitar has a 24 3/4” scale and weighs 3.30 lbs.  This is a phenomenal looking guitar with a particularly nice firestripe pickguard, ebony finish, and white binding on top and back. The guitar has 5 ply binding on top, an uncommon feature on this model, and features scalloped bracing, giving it lively sound with a nicely focused midrange. Comes with a hardshell case.
