1946 Gibson LG-2
1946 Gibson LG-2 in excellent condition with very minimal signs of wear throughout the instrument. A fine example of a just post banner era X-braced smaller body Gibson with a very balanced tonal palette. In a weird twist of fate, this is a guitar that Tom personally owned over twenty years ago that made its way back into our shop. This guitar is all original save for having replaced tuners, and the only major repair being a professionally repaired crack on the the bottom of the guitar. One of the few '40s acoustics that hasn't needed a neck reset. This guitar was constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back, sides and neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge. This guitar features a scale length of 24 3/4", fingerboard width at the nut of 1 11/16", thickness at the first fret of .96", thickness at the tenth fret of 1.03", and weighs 3.80 lbs exactly. This guitar comes with a non-original hardshell case.
