1947 Gibson ES-125
1947 Gibson ES-125 in excellent condition. The all mahogany body versions of these were only made for about a year in 1947. All original except for a refret just done by us. The slug magnet early P-90 has a huge clear sound. These are quite a bit more powerful than bar magnet P-90s that came later. This one interestingly has string balance compensation with a lowered B string pole. The neck is a perfect round medium shape that is comfortable and fast. Standard 24 3/4" scale and 1 11/16" nut width. Handsome trapazoid fingerboard inlays which you only see on the very earliest 16" ES-125s. Subtle sunburst finish on the dark mahogany body gives it an elegant look. Includes the top of the line original Geib case too.
