1952 Gibson Southern Jumbo
1952 Gibson Southern Jumbo in very good condition. This guitar was constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back, sides, and neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The neck has been reset. The guitar has the original frets, bridge, bridgeplate, and original bridge pins. The tuners are original but have been rebuttoned. There is an added strap button on the heel. There is one cleated top crack under the pickguard and one glued side crack on the upper bout. This guitar has a scale length of 24 3/4", nut width of 1 11/16", thickness at the first fret of .89", and thickness at the twelfth fret of 1.15”. It weighs 3.86 lbs exactly. A well balanced guitar with a wonderful, warm quintessential Gibson tone. The guitar comes with a period correct non-original hardshell case.
