1958 Epiphone Texan FT-79
1958 Epiphone Texan FT-79 in very good condition with an appropriate but minimal amount of wear for such a killer late 50's Epiphone. This guitar is in all original condition with the only major repairs being a professional neck reset and refret all adding up to a perfect playing guitar full of personality. As seen in photos this guitar features solid interior lining which was done for a short time in this period unlike the standard kerfed lining to connect the top, back and sides. The finish has faded to a strikingly beautiful Dark Amber from its original custom factory Cherry. This guitar was constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back, sides and neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge. This guitar features a long scale length, nut width of 1 11/16", thickness at the first fret of .87", thickness at tenth fret of 1.03", and weighs 4.46 lbs exactly. This guitar comes with a non-original hardshell case.
