1948 Gibson L-7P
1948 Gibson L-7P in good condition. For the first year of the cutaway these were called Premiers which was later changed to the C designation for cutaway. Spruce top with highly figured quilted maple back and sides. Nut width is 1 11/16”, 17” wide at lower bout. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with parallelogram pearloid inlay, and highly flamed maple neck. Guitar holds in tune very well with replaced tuners, bridge and tailpiece. Pickup is a Johnny Smith style Kent Armstrong which sounds fantastic with awesome bass and clear trebles installed here with endpin jack and volume control on pickguard. Guitar has been refretted by us with medium size wire. The top of the guitar has been refinished, and the back has been over sprayed. There was a crack in the side through the heel due to shipping damage that we repaired with hide glue several years ago. It is structurally rock solid and visually striking with the flamed neck and quilted back. This is a very fine playing archtop Gibson that sounds great and is priced accordingly. Comes with a hard shell case.
