1953 Gretsch Duo Jet Model 6128 in excellent condition very minimal signs of wear throughout the instrument. First introduced in 1953, this first year Duo Jet Sports a serial number of 11998 with the first batch of 150 Duo jets produced in '53 having a serial number range of 11900 through 12049. The headstock features the rarer "Script" logo seen on earlier models that just looks so cool. This iconic Brooklyn-made Gretsch is in all original condition and has no history of major repairs. Binding is original and in fantastic condition with trace amounts of the typical Gretsch binding crackage. Constructed with a black nitron plastic top, mahogany body, and neck, rosewood fingerboard, two original single-coil DeArmond Dynasonic pickups and a Melita floating bridge featuring the first individual string adjustable intonation on a solid body electric guitar. This guitar features a scale length of 24-3/4", fingerboard width at the nut of 1-11/16", thickness at the first fret of .94", thickness at the twelfth fret of .99", and weighs 7.82 lbs exactly. This guitar comes with the original hardshell case and an extra replacement pickguard as well.
