1973 Guild F-47

1973 Guild Bluegrass F-47 in good condition.  Not sure why Guild called this a Bluegrass model but it is a cool guitar nonetheless.  The solid mahogany body is 16" wide at the lower bout and 5" deep and features a nice Sitka spruce top.  The neck is two pieces of mahogany laminated with a center strip of maple with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.  The scale is 25 1/2" and the nut width is 1 11/16".  The guitar shows some wear to its original nitrocellulose finish with nicks and dings.  There is one small repaired top crack from an impact.  Tom reset the neck and refretted it to get the playability just right.  These guitars have cool thing going on somewhere between a Gibson J-185 and Martin M-18.  Big and full but not overbearing in the boomyness like so many jumbos are.  The sound is balanced when played with a light touch or heavy hand.  Includes original hard case.
