

1976 Martin D-76E
1976 Martin D-76E in very good condition. This Martin had various warranty work done by Martin in 2013. This included a repaired crack near the pickguard, repaired side crack, refret, neck reset, a replacement pickguard was installed, the fingerboard was straightened and has had some filled divots, and some finish touch up and polishing. This D-76E was constructed with a spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard featuring pearl star fretboard markers, an ebony bridge, and a pearl eagle inlay on the headstock. The neck measures 1 11/16” at the nut, has a depth of 0.89” at the first fret, and a depth 1.04” at the tenth fret. The guitar has a 25.5” scale and weighs 4.78 lbs. The D-76 was made to celebrate the bicentennial in 1976, with the the D-76E models specifically designated for Martin employees. The guitar features an interior label signed by CF Martin III, etched gold commemorative employee plaque on the neck block, a certificate of ownership, and a letter to the employee that was the original owner signed by Frank Martin. This D-76E has a big, bold sound with a particularly nice bass response. It comes with the original hardshell case.
