Waterloo WL-JK Jumbo King serial number 1168 in very good condition. This Waterloo is all original and very clean aside from a small area of strumwear on the upper bout. The WL-JK was constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, and a rosewood bridge. Full-bodied in both tone and stature, the aptly nicknamed "Jumbo King” is the largest size offering in the Waterloo line and a modern day tribute to jumbo-sized guitars of the early 1940s. Originally manufactured by Regal for the mail-order enterprise Montgomery Ward, this slope-shoulder body size was designed to provide performers of the era with enough volume and power for professional radio work. The WL-JK accomplishes this and more by employing a full five-inch body depth and a slightly narrow waist to enhance both the bass and treble response. Vintage inspired x-bracing and prominent v-shaped necks with fully adjustable truss rod. The neck has a width of 1 3/4” at the nut, a depth of 1.03” deep at the first fret, and a depth of 1.15” at the tenth fret. The guitar has a 25 1/2” scale and weighs 3.65 lbs. The guitar has a big, powerful sound, a comfortable neck, and a great vintage look. Comes with the original hardshell case.
