1930 National Duolian ON HOLD
1930 National Duolian in excellent condition. The Duolian model was introduced in 1930 as a more economical model to the fancy plated and engraved guitars being produced in the late 20s. The appointments are simple and even the gauge of steel used for the bodies is a bit thinner than other models. The finish is a cool black grey "frosted duco". The original fingerboard was made from rubber. A replacement ebony fingerboard with medium frets was installed in-house by Tom Crandall. The “C” shaped mahogany neck measures 1 13/16” at the nut, has a depth of 0.98” at the first fret, and 1.20” at the tenth fret. The guitar has a 25” scale and weighs 7.59 lbs. The cone is a replacement from National with the original biscuit. This National has a striking finish with a gorgeous patina and produces a wonderful, clear, powerful sound with tons of reverb. Includes a non-original hard case.
