1964 Epiphone Texan FT-79
1964 Epiphone Texan in very good condition. This Epiphone has a wooden replacement adjustable bridge with a ceramic saddle. There is some finish wear on the headstock. This Texan was constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. The neck measures 1 5/8” at the nut, has a depth of 0.90” at the first fret, and a depth of 1.05” at the tenth fret. The guitar has a 25.5” scale and weighs 4.40 lbs. The guitar works well as a big strummer with a deep bass response and well focused midrange, but also has a pleasing warmth and woodiness when played fingerstyle . Paul McCartney famously recorded “Yesterday” with a 1964 Texan and used it for his performance of the song on the Ed Sullivan show. Comes with a non original, super cool looking, bicentennial inspired, red, white, and blue painted hard case.
