1964 Guild M-30 Del Rio
1964 Guild M-30 Del Rio in excellent condition. This Guild has had a neck reset and is all original aside from a having a replaced saddle. All work was done in house. This M-30 was constructed with a mahogany body, a mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and a Brazilian rosewood bridge. The neck measures 1 11/16" at the nut and has a depth of 0.85” at the first fret and 0.94” at the 12th fret. The guitar has a 24 3/4” scale, weighs 3.64 lbs, and measures 15 1/8" at the lower bout. This is an extremely rare guitar, produced in small numbers from 1959 to 1964, and is the big brother of the highly regarded M-20 famously used by Nick Drake, but with a larger, grand concert size. This lightly built, easy playing, Hoboken era Guild has all the warmth and woodiness one would expect from an all mahogany guitar, with a sweet, balanced tone that has has a particularly nice bass response. Comes with a non-original Ibanez hardshell case.
