This guitar is a Gibson Les Paul 50's reissue converted to realistic 58-60 specs by Nacho Banos in a similar vein as the work of Historic Makeovers and others. Nacho is well known for creating high quality versions of classic Fender designs particularly when it comes to accurate reproductions of vintage finishes and replicating wear in a way that's much more realistic and appealing than what the Custom Shop can do.
This conversion starts by stripping the original finish then recarving the top and reshaping the headstock and neck profile to a more accurate Burst feel. He then carves a bone nut, changes the hardware, plastic, and electronics to accurate period reproductions, and installs Nachos own proprietary Nacho Applied For humbuckers. The process is completed by refinishing the instrument with a high quality nitrocellulose lacquer, and aging the instrument using Nachos unique methods to create as accurate a Burst look, feel, and sound as possible.
This Nachoburst was constructed with a mahogany body with a maple top and a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The neck measures 1 11/16” at the nut, has a depth of 0.94” at the first fret, and a depth 1.02” at the twelfth fret. The guitar has a 24 3/4” scale and weighs 8.25 lbs. A lightweight, great sounding Nachoburst with a great feeling neck and outstanding vintage look. Comes with the original Gibson hardshell case and all the case candy.
