1938 Gibson F-5
1938 Gibson F-5 in excellent condition with a normal amount of wear throughout the instrument. Exceptionally fine sounding Mandolin fit for any stage or studio environment, and happens to be from the same production year as Sam Bush's F-5. This F-5 is crack free, in all original condition with the only exception being a replacement pickguard and other wise no history of major repairs. One of the last great F-5s, sounds and plays fantastic. Constructed with a spruce top, nicely figured maple, back, sides, and neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge. Features a scale length of 14", fingerboard width at the nut of 1-3/16", thickness at the first fret of .87", thickness at the eighth fret of .97", and weighs 2.42 lbs exactly. Amazingly enough, this F-5 comes with the original deluxe hardshell case.
