

1939 Washburn 17" Archtop
1939 Washburn 17” Archtop in very good condition. This Gibson made Washburn was rebuilt in house by Tom Crandall in the style of an L-5. The depth was decreased to 3”, a solid back was added with period correct finish, a chip on the front corner of the peghead was repaired, a riser was added under the fretboard, and a neck reset and refret were done. This Washburn was constructed with a spruce top, solid maple sides and back, and a five piece maple and mahogany neck. The V shaped neck has a width of 1 11/16" at the nut, a depth of 0.95” at the first fret, and a depth of 1.14” at the tenth fret. The guitar has a 24 3/4 ” scale and weighs 4.97 lbs.
