1947 Gibson L-5

1947 Gibson L-5 in excellent condition.  From the brief period in the mid 40s when The L-5 had a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.  This guitar is all original except for a recent fret job.  The neck is a wonderful round full shape that ranks high in the category of great neck shapes of all time.  The original sealfast Kluson tuners work smooth.  The original bridge is uncut and has plenty of room for adjustment in both directions.  The top, back, sides, and neck all have the same sunburst lacquer finish.  The sound is full and warm which is characteristic of these 40s guitars.  The attack is lively and each note has a fat thick resonance.  The original pickguard is long since deteriorated.  Includes original hard case also in excellent condition.
