1949 Gibson SJ-200
1949 Gibson SJ-200 in very good condition. The late 40s SJ-200 are usually the best sounding examples and this one is no exception. It is responsive, powerful, and huge sounding. The neck has been reset and bridge reglued, refretted, one top crack repaired and pickguard crack repaired. Back and sides are crack free. The finish is all original and in good shape with some checking and wear on the top. The neck is a very comfortable round shape with 1 11/16" nut width. The neck is straight and truss rod works as it should. The tuners are original except for one which is vintage as well, and all work perfectly. The playability is excellent with almost no wear on the current frets. An all around great example of an iconic guitar. Includes original hard case in very good condition.
