

1949 Gibson Southern Jumbo ON HOLD
1949 Gibson Southern Jumbo in excellent condition. This Gibson has been refretted, had a neck reset, and had new tuner buttons installed. All work was done by Tom Crandall. This Southern Jumbo was constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard featuring parallelogram inlays, and a Brazilian rosewood bridge. The neck has a width of 1 11/16" at the nut, a depth of 0.93” at the first fret, and a depth of 1.20” at the twelfth fret. The guitar has a 24 ¾” scale and weighs 3.98 lbs. A gorgeous looking, great playing, phenomenal sounding Southern Jumbo with a resonant, woody, exceptionally fine tone. Comes with the original brown Lifton hardshell case.
