1951 Gibson SJ-200
1951 Gibson SJ-200 in very good condition. Beautiful solid maple back sides with heavy flame in the sides. All original other than a very nicely done refret. The back and sides are crack free, the top has five repaired tope cracks and a reglued center seam all nicely done and tight. The real kicker with this guitar is the sound. It has a big lively woody tone with a nice kick in the low midrange, the kind that rattle your ribs a bit. There is just enough natural compression to smooth everything out and make it sound like a SJ-200, but still loud and lively. Not what most people expect to hear when they pick up an SJ-200. The 1 11/16" nut width and 25.25" with round neck shape make for a comfortable player. This was guitar was previously owned by a world class producer and guitar player and made it several albums. Includes original brown Lifton case also in very good condition.
