1953 Gibson LG-1 in very good condition. This Gibson has two professionally repaired top cracks, one running from under the pickguard to the top of the bridge, and another running from the bottom of the bridge to the edge of the lower bout. The back center seam has also been professionally resealed.  This LG-1 was constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and a Brazilian rosewood bridge. The neck measures 1 11/16” at the nut, has a depth of 0.92” at the first fret, and 1.02”  at the tenth fret.  The guitar has a  24 ¾” scale and weighs 3.64 pounds. This is an exceptional sounding LG-1 has a classic, woody Gibson sound with a compressed bass response. It delivers both a terrific punch when hit with a flatpick and a sweet, articulate tone when fingerpicked.  Comes with the original brown Gibson alligator soft shell case.
