1964 Gibson L-5 CES

1964 Gibson L-5 CES in excellent condition with barely any play wear anywhere throughout the instrument. This guitar is in almost completely original condition with the only exceptions being that Alex refretted the fingerboard and replaced the outer layer of binding. Otherwise this guitar is untouched and is a fantastic feeling and sounding guitar through and through. This L-5 is stamped as a factory 2nd but, as is often the case, we can't find any flaw with it either in fit or finish, and it is unclear exactly why it is marked as such. This guitar was constructed with a spruce top, figured maple back, sides and neck, ebony fingerboard, Brazilian Rosewood bridge and two original patent number humbucker pickups. This guitar has a scale length of 24 3/4", fingerboard width at the nut of 1 11/16", thickness at the first fret of .83", thickness at the tenth fret of 1.00", and weighs 7.40 lbs exactly. This guitar comes with an original hardshell case.
