1982 Gibson Ripper Bass L9-S
1982 Gibson Ripper Bass L9-S in excellent condition. This Gibson is all original with no history of repairs. The bass was constructed with a maple body and a maple neck. The Ripper features Bill Lawrence designed pickups and a four way tone selector switch with some interesting configurations. These options include both pickups in-phase wired in series, back pickup only, both pickups in-phase wired in parallel, and both pickups out-of-phase wired in series. The neck has a width of 1 5/8” at the nut, a depth of 0.85” at the first fret, and a depth of 1.02” at the twelfth fret. It has a 34.50” scale and weighs 10.56 lbs. Notably favored by players such as Gene Simmons of KISS, Kirst Novoselic of Nirvana, and Mike Dirnt of Green Day. Includes a gig bag.
