Circa 1920s Epiphone Recording Artist Tenor Banjo
Circa 1920s Epiphone Recording Artist Tenor Banjo in excellent condition with very minimal signs of wear throughout the instrument. The Recording Artist is the most significant line of Banjos that Epiphone made in a handful of variations and were in production from circa 1925 to circa 1935. This particular specimen appears to be in all original condition and has even retained its interior housed Elton light fixture that was used to keep the drum head dry in fluctuating climates. Both bulbs have been painted for dramatic effect. This Epiphone was constructed with an inlayed rosewood shell, intricately inlayed walnut/rosewood/walnut zig zag rim, mahogany neck, and a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Features a scale length of 23", fingerboard width at the nut of 1 1/16", thickness at the first fret of 0.92", thickness at the twelfth fret of 1.01" and a weight of 8.32 lbs. Comes with the original hardshell case.
